Frank Einstein's Farm

To coin two such words spells disaster but the clever invention of relativity was not Frank but Albert Einstein's - it was him who explained why apples fall from trees, who gave us the answer to what comes up must come down, and provided us with some comprehension of zero gravity, and space the Final Frontier. However, not being a biologist by nature, he never questioned openly why apples grow on trees - how did apples begin? Why are they here? Better still how did we get here?

Darwin was more inquisitive about evolution. Was it not him who went about experimenting with nature - true he could be termed a farmer (and a scientist). Many a pea he planted, and many a fly he crossed in the natural way given him by soil, solving thereby the greatest mystery of evolution. Through logical thought, scientific method and endless exhausting experiments, not to mention years of growing things as a farmer does - the essence of life - the actual beginning of mankind was discovered by man.

But Darwin shouldn't get all the praise - thousands, even millions of men like him participated in the same quest for knowledge and came up with " The gene, a component of DNA, which is a component of the nucleus of every human cell.

The invention was not accidental - what did God expect? We were meant to discover the gene and manipulate it to our advantage - look at all the cues.

Does the public object to removing a bad gene and replacing it with a good one? If your body was debilitated because of a bad gene that meant you couldn't walk properly and would waste away - wouldn't you accept the miracle of a cure? This is fact.

Getting back to the apple. How do we survive? From energy, yes. Where does it come from? Our food, which is grown in the soil. Now as the earth is getting overpopulated, doubling approximately every thirty years, and we begin to run out of food, naturally you could stretch the life of a primary energy source for as long as possible. How? By using very expert scientific knowledge of its composition and origin to manipulate the good qualities and do away with the bad. We must believe the endless potential genetic engineering can give us in terms of choice of food. We should appreciate that genetics is a help and not a hindrance to our society.
