Written for a 55 word story contest.

He waited for traffic to clear the intersection before making the left turn. A car approaching from behind seized his attention.

It's going too fast.  The traffic offered no relief.  He stared at the speeding car feeling calm.  The end is here.  He watched intently as the car swerved in slow motion missing by inches.
