Still I look, but must ask, where has gone the sun?
I look to the stars and see naught but dark The darkness now reigns and butterflies shun My heart has been pierced by a vicious gun all angles and edges in relief too stark Still I look, but must ask, where has gone the sun? No more are bright days filled with fun no more happy days and walks in the park The darkness now reigns and butterflies shun I try to hide and find nowhere to run not even a song to be sung by a lark Still I look, but must ask, where has gone the sun? Alone and unloved, weighted by a ton a heart beating slower, but without a mark The darkness now reigns and butterflies shun Alas now I think this battle is won by the relentless gnawing of many a shark Still I look, but must ask, where has gone the sun?
