Falling

It started gracefully... a gentle, gliding descent. Warm, golden rays peeked through fluffy, billowing clouds. Azure paradise and awe-inspiring views surrounded him, skin caressed by cool, rushing winds.

But he soon found himself plummeting toward ground, falling... tumbling without control or direction. Struggling valiantly, reality eventually intruded as fate taunted with hopeful promises of escape.

There was none.

Stupid parachute won't open!

Cruel mistress Gravity continued along her merciless path... undeniable... unstoppable. Earth loomed ahead, growing ever closer. Panic rose, resistance now futile. Eyes shut tight, oblivion approaching.

Then... ripcord became unstuck. Oh, blissful salvation! Whew... just in time!
