A CHILD'S FRONT POCKETS are full of necessary things
Candy for his midday snacks Hands when he's mad, to help him relax Ideas on paper so he won't forget Lint from the family's laundry basket Dice from a game for competitive spirit String to help him feel tightly knit Flashlight keychain to light his way Rocks and stones to skip on the lake Onyx cross to remind him to be true New gold dollar he got when he lost his first tooth Trinkets from the treasure box when he's done no wrong Pencil to write his poems and his songs Old arrowhead to protect and to feel he can provide Coins he's earned that make him feel grown-up inside Key to his home where he's always welcome Eraser to get rid of mistakes that will come Toy car to prepare for the independence he'll know Seeds from an apple to plant and grow SWPoet
