Semantic Satiation
Rated: ASR | Poetry | Nonsense | #1432929
The loss of meaning through repetition
Mouth running like a mouse
On its wheel going nowhere
Your blank face shows
Content or unaware
Step outside yourself for a change
See what your wheel spins

Words to white noise
Ruled by repetition
Meaning to chaos
Semantic satiation
Your mind, your loss

You sing a skipping song
That's gone on for far too long
It doesn't have to be that way
For your tiring musings of the day
Painted on the points of needles
Softly deafen and quickly numb
Calloused ears that have become
Careless
Careless
Careless
Careless
Careless

The mind is not made for orbit
Around empty space
Find your place
You're better than this
We're better than this
Better than this
Better than this
Better than this
