I've known you well since we were very young
And maybe for an ancient time before The words I love you gentle on my tongue And spoken softly on some distant shore Before we walked the earth in present time You were a spirit partner in the sphere The love we made, the passion and the rhyme More joyful there than we have tasted here But young and old upon this earthly mass We found each other twice and loved the more And I shall love you as the moments pass As sweet as ever was on distant shore And as I watch you walk along the beach I know angelic joy is in my reach
