Along the Beach

I've known you well since we were very young
And maybe for an ancient time before
The words I love you gentle on my tongue
And spoken softly on some distant shore

Before we walked the earth in present time
You were a spirit partner in the sphere

More joyful there than we have tasted here

But young and old upon this earthly mass
