A sorrow sweeps me to the floor,
depression washes me in waves. Don't think I'll get up anymore, some I want to put in their graves. I'm embarrassed to be a man, unthinkable what they can do. Planning heinous acts in the clan, terrible things they did to you. I weep for my very dear friend while my anger consumes my soul. My tears don't seem to find an end, the beat has stopped, there's just a hole. Life of a girl under attack, she's helpless with nowhere to turn. Five-years old sent into the black, men and cowardly acts to spurn. Evil closed eyes, to this young life, blinding those minds that should have seen. Its wickedness took her as wife with intent impure and most keen. Carried into womanhood, scars spreading in many directions- Somehow her mind can reach the stars and with love offers affections. I hang my head low for my kind, raise it high in pride of my friend. I weep for those that are still blind; their actions are hard to defend. Confusion running head to toe, feeling like life is way off track. Strange new feeling taking me low, beautiful friends bringing me back.
