Imprisoned By Silence

I have been here before
Motionless and depressed,
Pain surging through me
Remembering endless tears,
In silent nightmares
Someone touches me,
Overcome with fear
Needing always to
Escape from it all
Danger lurks near.

Beneath me the blood flows
Yet I feel nothing.

Shhhhh, listen
I hear someone coming,
Lying here I cry
Eyes looking,
Nothing there
Clearly I can
Endure no more.
