What if?
Rated: E | Poetry | Romance/Love | #1435444
Simply the thoughts and dreams of potential love
What if. . .

What if all my dreams came true,
and I woke up every morning next to you,
to start the day with your embrace,
feeling your fingers caress my face?

What if my gaze always held a smile,
and I felt like every breath was worthwhile,
to lose myself as I peer in your eyes,
enjoy the love that's such a surprise?

What if love gets stronger each breath taken,
and our trust will never be forsaken,
to experience pleasure, feeling no pain,
linking our souls like an unbroken chain?

What if the chain held through all life dealt,
and the safety of your arms is all I felt,
to learn to receive as well as to give,
cherishing the life we’ve been blessed to live?

What if with every stride we stepped as one,
and all the feelings of loss and loneliness were undone,
to feel your love wash over me like a refreshing stream,
knowing whole-heartedly I am engulfed in my dream?
