OVERCOMING (through faith)

Lately, I've persistently thought:  There is no justice in this world -- in the government, in politics, in the legal system, in the workplace.  Injustice is prevalent, readily apparent.  Just this week, much to our chagrin, my daughter was not readily accepted into Nursing School at the college she attends.  My reaction?  "I hate this world and won't be here much longer."  Sad, truly.

Yet, John 3:16 clearly says:  For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him would not perish but have everlasting life. [emphasis added]

As a Christian, our mission is clearly being an unblemished reflection of Him -- an overcomer.  Yet, I have hated the world, the very world He gave Himself to save/rescue.

We stand by faith in Him.  He is the only one we can completely trust.  Without faith in Him, it is impossible to please God. [emphasis added]

Vain is faith in people, government, the world's systems.  Yet he who puts his trust/faith in God will never be disappointed.

THEREFORE, I will... be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, (I will) let my requests be known unto God, and the peace of God, which passes all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, my Lord.  ~Phillipians 4:6 (KJV)

FOR He has not given me a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.  ~2 Timothy 1:7 (KJV)

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment.  He that feareth is not made perfect in love.  ~1 John 4:18
