OUT IN THE OPEN

She hid herself from the world
But when a stranger arrived
She opened up to him and
Told him about her life
The things that she wouldn’t say
To anyone that she knew
This seems so strange to you now
What you read is the truth
The thing is everyone else
Would criticize her away
But this unknown guy was
Unlike the rest in her way
To him she could say a lot
Of things that were on her mind
And didn’t have to worry
About being put down
So everything that she hid
Was now released in the open
And she was finally free
Free from this heavy burden
And most of all this new soul
Was one she searched all along
Now that he finally showed
Her life turned into a song
And she had nothing but smiles
That penetrated her being
No longer needing to frown
No longer wanting to flee
She was on top of the world
She felt so cared about
She felt so wanted and loved
No fears of being put down
He was an angel to her
He was her soul mate for life
Everything clicked into place
And that’s the end of her strife

Story Behind The Piece:

I found this guy who I felt I could share things with without worrying about being judged or cricized. I felt like he cared about me, loved me, and wanted me around. We were great friends and we were always there for each other. With him around things were better in my life, and I felt lifted in spirit and I was happy.
