Sally's Drawers Huntsville, AL 1965/08/07 12:10 xxxday [Sally and Winford] Winford’s office was on the second floor, up a rather narrow flight of open stairs and thirty feet down a catwalk. It overlooked the work area of the provisioners, 14 desks in an open bay often referred to as the “bull-pen.” The bull-pen was manned by 14 young, usually new hires, men working the telephones and pounding on electro-mechanical Frieden calculators. The background noise was deafening. The only place quiet enough for a private conversation was either outside or in Winford’s office. Sally would bring Winford his coffee in the morning, sometimes had lunch with him, and attend the staff meeting just before quitting time every day. At least three trips up and down those stairs. The men in the bull-pin didn’t hit on Sally often because they knew she was only interested in the boss. However, whenever Sally ascended the stairs, the bull-pen became markedly quieter. It didn’t take a genius to figure out that the miniskirts Sally wore were the source of the silence... or rather the pink, yellow, or silky white panties she had on under them. It didn’t bother Sally much, in fact she sort of liked the attention, hoping it would make Winford jealous... it didn’t. Well, it didn’t until he discovered some sort of pool was being wagered in the bull-pen. The P-Y-W pool. A buck to get in and pick a color. Then when the color of her drawers was confirmed, the pool money was distributed to the correct guessers. Sally found out and started wearing two-tones, plaid, black, bright green, even 1920’s vintage blue bloomers. The boys in the bull-pen were disappointed. Of course, they still looked. Her legs were flawless. And this was before pantyhose ruined everything. Pages: 2 Words: 294
