The Beautiful Rose and Its Petals
Rated: E | Poetry | Home/Garden | #1441435
A poem about a rose and its petals as a symbol for humanity's love.
A simple dark red rose,
The symbol of humanity’s struggle for oneself
And a loving sense of belonging
In a fragile and sometimes cruel,
Yet upbeat and caring world.
The rose’s petals send a distinct message
Of warmth and innocence,
Soft, curvy, sizeable and richly hued,
The intimate body of the now-budding specimen.
Often, the tiny buds struggling
Against intensely rigid heat and cold
And swirling precipitation,
To blossom so becomingly and happily
In the jubilant times of Spring.
Humanity’s honorable distinction,
To grow, care for, and prune
These symbols of youthful love,
Finding inner peace and rejuvenating harmony.
