                                  PROLOGUE
I looked around and saw no familiar faces. Everyone was moving so fast, not one even asked if I was ok. No one saw the blood, the hurt, the tears. All they saw was a girl in love and happy. Damn. They thought wrong.
                              CHAPTER 1:
"Alanis! Get down here now! Your plane leaves in an hour and its takes two to get the airport!" Mom screamed at me from the kitchen.
"Alright! Dont get your thong caught!" I grabbed the last of my things and stared at the empty walls. My whole childhood is right here. Who would have thought lil ole' me, Alanis French, would be on her plane to USC!
"Alanis Mary French! Get your ass out this room NOW!"
"Mom! Jesus! I am right here!"
"Keep moving at that pace and that is exactly where you are going to stay!"
"But mommy! I really don't wanna leave you! I mean, with dad gone..." I saw the little patience she had disappear and sadness took place.
"Lanny, I don't need your father and you don't need him alright? Everything is going to be fine! We both worked hard to get you in USC so you better get your ass down there and don't waste this money!"
*******
"No roomate?"
"Nope! Lucky you!" Christy, who lived in the dorm across the hall smiled and walked back to her room. "But I'm here if you need anything!"
" Alright thanks!" I sat down on my squishy mattress and looked around. All my stuff, still in boxes, laid dormat down on the floor. I felt the loneliness creep inside as i looked at the empty bed across from my own.

"Um..are you Alanis?" A small voice came from the doorway.

"Yup, thats me! And you are..."

"Oh! I'm Tiffany! Your roommate..." Yes!! Sweetness! A roomie!

"Hi! Need some help with your stuff?"

"No, no, I got it!"

"Are you sure?" I jumped off the bed and reached for the box in her hand.

"No!" She jumped back out of the room and ran down the hall.

"Um..Ok..." Great! I get the crazy roommate! This is gonna be one interesting year...
