LOVE’S TEAR
Oh, the tear of innocent True love from deep within, As you flow down tender cheek, You ignite burning thoughts. Are you born of ache and pain, Or, of abundant joy? Are you the cry of ill fate, Or, precursor of hope? I wish I knew where I stand, In oblivion or dreams. I don’t know whether my thoughts Are reciprocated. Whatever does bring you forth, Of this I am quite sure: You are the privileged one That graces my love’s cheek. * Written in 7-6-7-6 format. M C Gupta 23 June 2008
