The Influence of Studying (You)
It’s about beginning the long journey into that one person’s world.

Under the warm trance of your gaze;
My cheeks flush crimson,
My mouth dries up,
My words trip over each other,
And my grin maps out the rest of my face.
Intoxicated by your scent.

I can feel the patterns,
Of fingers consuming skin,
Along my lower back,
Briefly ending across my neck,
Resistance washes away—
For you.

You’ve studied every spot,
That causes me to squirm,
Dipped in innocent affection.
Your lips searched mine
without stopping for air
and I allowed you to gently strip me
of the armor I’d spent so long creating.

I cherish your depth-
Your strength-
Lifts me a top the sky,
Studded with your shining eyes.
I lost myself while I explored you,
Only to find out the meaning of it all…

On the other side.
