Man Nears Extinction

Earth remained desolate after bombings. Few survived. Carnal minds regressed back to primitive ways. Individuals wandered endlessly, searching for provisions. Countless rotting corpses lay covered with maggots or picked clean by scavengers. Vegetation withered because of drought. All will eventually perish from starvation. Man nears extinction.

“Another human being! Got any food?”

“Sure, down yonder.” Roland pointed at a deep hole.

Sam reached in “Ouch! What the –“His limp body collapsed.

“Yes, my friend, there is chow.” He chuckled. “You’re mighty thin, but still good eatin.”

Fresh Flesh sizzled and smoked while roasting over hot flames. “Mmmm, tastes like Harold.”
