A Mark
He wiped the sweat from where it lay upon his furrowed brow, thinking of the task at hand; a case of when and how. Some will say they've left a mark, a measure of their life, a notch was carved above the last but with a newer knife. So many ways to mark a life and leave for all to find, important is the message scribed and the mark is left behind. Who is to say where time will lead, it's very hard to tell, posterity's in the balance; we're underneath its spell. ![]()
