My soul bleeds from a cheater’s heart
The heart that belongs to me
The heart that weeps with tears
I am cheating myself in this game of life
This game which I cannot win
I battle every waking moment of every day
To be a free soul
To release myself from this mess
From everything that needs to change
To do what I crave for
To do what I need to do
To finally make things right
To live life the way I want to live it
Yet I do not do those things
Because my heart won’t let me
It is a scared child consumed by fear
Fear of what’s to come
Fear of coming short
Fear of failing
And so here I am
Living every waking moment of every day
Bleeding from a cheater’s heart
The heart that belongs to me
The heart that weeps with tears
Living a life without change
A life that will never make me a free soul
A life that will only cause me to bleed
Every waking moment of every day
