CONFIDANT
I have beheld you through the Eyes of God. I've seen your fear and loathing; love and hope. Beside you, down your spiral stairs I've trod, descending through your darkness, forced to grope. And in that place where Sol has cast no light, I lay with you and struggled through your night! I have beheld you with Immortal Eyes. My gaze was harsh, yet mindful did I sear through all the false excuses and the lies you've built up to defend and hide your fear. Your fear which drains your blood and casts a pall: Perhaps your coin is worthless, after all? And I have whispered when you could not hear. And I have held you when the Maelstrom roared. For you have cried, but I have shed the tear, which from this shared existence life has poured! And as your life pours forth, it washes me, the image in the mirror that you see. You have beheld me through the Eyes of God. You've seen my fear and loathing; love and hope. Beside me, down my spiral stairs you've trod, descending through my darkness, forced to grope. And in that place where Sol has cast no ray, You stood with me and struggled through my day!!
