Summer Sun
This is my Huitain poem about the summer sun.

Summer Sun

Royal orb whose heat is sizzling
Sails across the sky in silence.
Fire within that’s always bringing
A searing pain the mind must sense.
People sweating and feeling tense.
Will the days continue to bake
The skin and soul as one thought vents?
The heat is here for nature’s sake.

A Huitain style poem too late for the contest.
