The Time Machine “I’ve invented a time machine,” said Professor Abernethie, pressing a button. Lights flashed. A dynamo whined. “It requires enormous amounts of power; going back is impossible, going forward is slow. It takes a minute to advance a minute.” A timer pinged. “And here I am, one minute into the future. Proof that my machine works!”
