A shooting star crossing my eyes,
flying in view across the sky. Space filling, twinkling bright sight, torturing hearts, lighting the night- Aching soul melting at her glance, praying chance sent the glimpse my way. It wasn't me she sought to see, and I knew … all I needed too. So surreal, I must be dreaming, time together without meaning. Not a hello or nod good-bye and wondering why as I cry. A stupid man is who I am, a sissy boy falling in love. Wishing upon a shooting star, starlight, star bright, burning my life. Putting fate in heavenly hands, a grand plan, damned silly dumb man. Feral flaming melting my soul, fleeing dream, somewhere else to go. Hollowness flowing through the hole nobody else will ever know, shame and pain from the dream not seen. The raging fire of the star, blazing pyre, tears of my years. Emptiness consuming my heart, fueling the spark igniting dark. A manly man would never cry, preferring death to weepy eyes. Reaching the star left burning scars, scorched man, torched it seems by his dreams-
