A SUMMER KISS
When we met that summer eve, As the moon shyly shone, I had a heavenly whiff Of a scent yet unknown. My heart thumped as I glanced down Your deeper-than-sea eyes. In them I found purest love. Passion in me did rise. I gave a sweet tender kiss And held you in embrace Which was an eternity, Face pressing into face. Memories of that moment, That spot, that moon, that sky, Those eyes, that kiss, that heartbeat, Can I forget, can I? * Written in abcb, 7-6-7-6 format. * Awarded first place in the “Try a Little Tenderness Poetry Contest”, "Invalid Item" * Initially posted as entry 472819 in Love poems, "LOVE POEMS" M C Gupta 3 December 2006
