Like puzzle pieces that will never fit. You knew it’s not in charm, or words, or wit. True poetry won’t dwell in poet's minds. You find the poet's heart between the lines. Sometimes I’ve struggled with the written word. You smile at me and say "that is absurd. Emotions deep inside is where you start." Between the lines you find the poet's heart. You can’t write poetry by being smart. You use the words that burn within your heart. You’ve shown me where to look to see the signs. You find the poet's heart between the lines. I find my inspiration when I see the love within your eyes is there for me. You told me we would never be apart. Between the lines you find the poet's heart. This poem was created for my wife, BabyBlueJean Rhyme scheme: A A – B B – C C – D D – D D _ B B – E E – D D Iambic meter is unstressed/stressed syllables. Pentameter is ten syllables or five foot (two syllables = one foot) This is slightly different from a Cloned-Line form. A Cloned Line form has four quatrains written in iambic pentameter. In each stanza, line two should repeat; however in stanzas two and four the repentend (repeated line) is inverted. (an inverted repentend) In my poem, The repentend line is line four of each quatrain. Other than that, I believe I have followed this wonderful form to the letter. This form was created and named by Larry Powers larryp I enjoy this group, I bet you would as well!
