Loyal Friend
A Spenserian Sonnet in iambic pentameter.

Avg Rating: (2)
It keeps a beat in time with master's hand.
Complete with heart and vital honesty.
With loyalty; a virtue bold and grand.
It proudly stands for all the world to see.

When falter will another friend to me,
it boldly stays by me declaring true.
In courage meets its own small destiny.
no other friend can make this claim to you.

With fleeting age- it finds its strength anew.
A search throughout the world will not reveal,
a better friend, a more committed crew.
no matter how much time or how much zeal,

in life you’ll never find a truer friend.
I know I’ll love my dog until the end.
