LIES
Please look beyond my lies. Think why I lie to you. Or, do I lie in fact? Is not my lie the truth? What, in fact, is the truth? And, what lies in a lie? Who is the arbiter? Neither you, nor am I. Can’t we gloss over this? Do we need to point out An accusing finger At the other of us? Enough of this quarrel. Why not better make up? Let’s not point out fingers, Let’s lock them together. * Written in 6-6-6-6 format. • Written initially as entry 413867 in MISCELLANEA, "MISCELLANEA" M C Gupta 19 March 2006
