I was looking up ahead, seeing where the horses lead, this wagon in a big train, up ahead pulls the main... wagon of this huge line, the one in the middle is mine. A new life, I'm going out west, going across country is a test. Children are riding in the rear, in hopes that they'll be safe here, always watching front to back, ever mindful of an attack. Going out west to a new land, staking our claim, making a stand, this is where we'll make a start, an oppertunity God did impart. Oh my! We're almost there, I'm smelling the roses where... in my front yard where they'll be, for the neighbor's and all to see. 7/17/08 By:cissyccr " A poem about traveling to the west for the first time... in covered wagon.
