Pretty Words

Pale fingers tap and trap my thoughts to you
and, quickly tripping over words, they rush
a million miles in moments for your view;
the thought of your attention makes me blush.

Here is a litany of your power:
Relentless gray skies are marble, transformed;
bird's song seem to call from every bower,
to find me lost in love with dreams once mourned.

I never felt awake until you spoke
and now I am alive within my heart.
All of my other senses have awoke;
your deft communications hit their mark.

You leave me spellbound, bewitched and enthralled.
Unspoken truths--the best amongst them all.

If hate is kind, you can't but not adore,
My black insides, my twisted heart, my sin.
Each letter that I punch, I punch so sore,
You think I love you, but you'll never win.

I look to God for guidance till you're dead,
To sacrifice a soul so pure, to hurt,
From fingers, words of falseness here are bled,
Your petty words mean nothing more than dirt.

A thief! Myself I call upon one night,
I took your love, deceived you, threw you down.
My wicked ways, the words in which I write,
The pinnacle of evil I will crown.

In riches I wallow, in pain I ease,
From strength of love, you fall upon your knees.
