AND I COILED UP INSIDE
He met and praised me to the sky, He promised me the moon. He ravished me and went away, Saying he would come soon. I waited for him night and day, My time I did abide. But his seed grew and showed outside, And I coiled up inside. How soon he meant, I do not know, I know but only this, I never saw him again and Now only this I wish: That he may now never come back And cast his vile shadow On him who was born of his seed. Him I just can’t let go. * Written in abcb, 8-6-8-6 format. * Written initially as entry 474057 in WOMEN'S AND GENDER ISSUES, "WOMEN'S AND GENDER ISSUES" M C Gupta 9 December 2006
