AT THE GRAVE

Serene silence all around,
Birds' chirping the only sound.
Lilies adding to the peace,
All evil thoughts do here cease.

This, the final resting place,
In the end does give solace
To a restless troubled soul,
In this world that’s a hell hole.

Here there are no earthly wants,
No pressures and no demands.
Free from all unwelcome calls,
Time here slowly, softly rolls.

No disturbance, except once,
When anniversary comes,
Someone, who still remembers
The fire in the old embers,

Pays a visit in silence
To offer his obeisance
At the grave of the loved one,
Shedding tears, seen by none.
