CALL ME UNTO YOU: a sonnet
As my soul quits this bodily frame, I’ll wait again for Your orders, Lord.

CALL ME UNTO YOU: a sonnet

My eyes will be one day closed on this world,
A vaster one will open then to me,
Where one will not depend on written word;
Communication will be language- free.

I shall be free from bodily constraints
That pose impediment to free movement.
My soul will then move free without restraints,
Without barriers of concrete, cement.

I will have no desire or earthly wish.
I will be simply doing His errand.
Whether it be man, beast or fowl or fish,
I will be truly all His creatures’ friend.

Lord, when You think my task on earth is done,
Call me to Your feet for a job new one.
