New World Order

The world swims
before my eyes.
Everything is a blur.
Love and tolerance-

a footnote in history.
War and hatred
span my view.
Man destroys man.

The Earth is dying,
crumbling layer by layer.
Stripped of its defenses.
I cannot understand.

Tears blur my vision.
My heart aches.
So much worked for-
all created for them.

They throw it all away,
no consideration.
Where did we go wrong?
A world of love and harmony

completely upset.
Usurped by hate.
Bred from where?
I do not know.

Some infection, disease
compromised mind and heart.
All is lost to this disease-
Ignorance and intolerance.

It is killing me.
