My Cry
A poem about Love. . . basically.

O! You say you love me
and I say I love you.
But now you're free
and float in the Heavens True.

And though I love you so,
I thought you loved me too,
but now I know
that's not true.

And as I stop in Winterwood,
I did what I should
have done
before I last saw the Sun.

All I want to know,
is why you told me so,
that I should leave,
I should've known so.

You said it was me you loved,
but when he came
away and to the side I was shoved,
but it ain't him to blame,
I'm only a pawn in your game.

How many times, must I go black'n blue
go to the ends of the Earth for you?
What must I do,
to make you feel my love?

You say you loved me so,
but now I know,
this world wasn't meant for me.
Now I'm free!

I'm blowin' in the Wind,
and up the path I tend,
yet you ask my hand to lend,
and I say unto you, "No."

How many years, shall I hold you?
How many tears, shall I dry?
How many ears, shall you have, before you hear people cry?
I don't know what to do.

And I love you so,
that I now know,
that you will never love me so.
And that, I know. . .
