My oh my,
Aunt Kathy's blueberry pie
makes me wanna fly
like Lucy in the Sky
like the Hurricane that broke the levee and took all the rye
all the rye
and all I reciii-iiite, was
that'll be the day that I fly,
that'll be the day that I cry,
you say you're gonna hit me, you know it's a lie,
'cause that'll be the day that I die!

Oh and like I said before
all the men went to war
and landed on the shore
he and his brothers were blown to the core.
She asked, "How many," and I replied, "Four."
She wanted to kill me
but I said, "I'll let you be."
So I went to the court
that looked like an army fort
and when I saw the guns they bore
the guns they bore
all I could reciii-iiite, was
that'll be the day that I fly,
that'll be the day that I cry,
you say you're gonna shoot me, you know it's a lie
'cause that'll be the day that I die!

Helter skelter I made for the shelter
to escape the swelter
of the cameramen undercover
the car hit my shoulder
when I tried to see her
and now as the evening gets colder
I called Chester
he didn't answer
so I called Webster,
the operator said that dead is Webster,
and once I heard this teller
heard this teller
all I could reciii-iiite, was
this'll be the day that I fly,
this'll be the day that I cry,
you say he's dead, well, I know this ain't a lie,
'cause this'll be the day that I die!
