CONQUER THE SELF
As a child, I thought the world Is only a playground, Where we simply enjoy in A big merry-go-round. As I grew, I saw the world, Just as a battleground, Where the rights are in danger; Injustice does abound. But, now, after having fought Those dangers external, I believe we need to fight Enemies internal. Evil forces do linger So often in our mind Let’s conquer them rather than Those of the outer kind. • Written in abcb, 7-6-7-6 format • Initially written as entry 411645 in the book FAITH, NATURE & INSPIRATIONAL, "FAITH, NATURE & INSPIRATIONAL" M C Gupta 8 March 2006
