FIGHT OF LOVE

When a boy and a girl meet,
As they freely dance in street,

What thoughts they have uppermost?
Of their youth both of them boast.

Am I match for him or her?
Shall I conquer the other?

What a fight of love it is!
What flight of emotions this!

They have different weapons.
And, often, it so happens:

The one that’s tender and tame,
Is the winner in the game.
