LIFE DREAMS
What is this life? Just a dream, In this dream we laugh and scream. Dreams of childhood, innocent, Mounts of candy, peppermint; Fairies, toys and bells and balls, Ribbons and flowers and dolls. Dreams of young adolescence, Of youthful effervescence; Soccer heroes, movie stars, Beauty models, racing cars. Dreams of a family life, Loving, sincere husband, wife; Having a wonderful job, High salary, rising stock. But then comes the final stage, With the wrinkles of old age; Dream of a peaceful exit, To reach His glorious feet. * Written in aa, 7-7 format * Initially written as item 744851, substituted on 10 April 2005 by entry 340510 in the book MY POETRY BOOK, "MY POETRY BOOK" M C Gupta 2 Sept. 2003
