                                                Coran

As a knight of Coran I sit on my horse waiting and watching in hope

In hope that we win and my family stays safe but who knows my fate

I charge into battle arrows fly high

The flaming arrows fall down like a river of fire that light up the sky

Mages standing on the hill chant their magic spells

White aura flows like a white smoky mist blocking the arrows from being able to hit

I raise my sword announcing the charge the icy aura glows all around my sword

Army charges forward swords raised high screams of anger and pride

Clash of the army nearby that sound of thunder like gods in the sky

Screams of the falling and fallen on both sides blood curdling screams rip thru the sky

Standing among the most terrible of these foul creatures is absolute horror

Twelve feet tall this towering humanoid of flame commanding army’s without saying a thing

He wields a sword the shape of lightning bolt dripping with flames

Hot enough to rip your soul sending it down to the darkness of the abyssal planes

His whip cracks cut the air as fire drips from the whip and its many hooks, balls and spikes

Troops of bearded devils storm across the bloody plains

Shocking troops that stop in fear of its massive bloody saw tooth glaive

They cut down my army and run them right threw until my men regain the courage to pull thru

Mass of beasts unknown to our kind slaying us all and eating the remains of the fallen

Oh unholy beast desecration of our remains we shall kill you and make you all pay!

Beasts of energy appearing to our sudden surprise flanking us now from all sides

Can these creatures really be real? Appearing from pure energy

The swords do no good and the mages are busy

Our men are slowly being tortured, killed, and eaten

Arrows of fire from beautiful woman with feathery wings, red glowing eyes, and red skin

There arrows burn whatever it touches burning thru skin, and armor or the ground it sticks in

Not even water magic can put these demon fires out so let them burn until they burn out

Flying creatures hover over head as big as an ogre, covered in scales, and a long whipping tail

Hovering over there general they don’t seem to move unless to defend attempts at his life

They block all attempts at his life short or long range I will have to charge into the fray

Sergeants commanding troops on the field large humanoid toads that makes stench fill the air

They all run for their life from this putrid smell they run away as fast as they can

One poor guy that couldn’t get away so he crushed his head between his blunt teeth

Scream of horror fill the air as his skull and brain ooze to the ground

Cloaked in fire tall as two humans bat like wings stretched out to the heavens

Covered in scales the undisputed leader on the battlefield

Its fangs hiss with dripping venom and his tail whips wildly around

Bat like wings wrap its body and disappear with an invisibility spell

I see all this things as I charge forward on my horse chopping demons down as I go

I hold my sword high to rally the troops! Most are dead or dying is there no hope?

Vision is fading all looks black look down towards my chest a glaive broken sticking out

Blood poor from my chest as I hold back the pain nothing can stop me today

With anger and pain I stab the demon then cleaving his body in two

I cough up blood and spit blood out of my mouth though no time to worry about it now

The flaming demon with the sword that looks like lightning and clothed in flames

Staring him down riding towards him I can save this day

Blood is my bath pain is my friend wounds I do not feel until the day ends

I am almost there damn winged foul beast be gone this day

I swing my sword pointed towards them all a blast of ice turns them all cold

Shattering all around my feet I leap off my steed at the demons feet

Slowly I stride towards the demon of fire and wrath I remove the glaive from my chest

I cough up blood my mind fades to black though my sword holds me true to this righteous path

I feel no pain except the one in my heart of the family I leave behind those who I will miss a lot

Longing of memories of better days walking thru the fields warm summer days

People laughing smiles of friends all drowned out by the screams of my men

In anger I run towards this foul demon sword drawn high then all I see is the sky

How beautiful the clouds look in the distant sky and then I see that familiar face

Demon stands over top of me looking down with a grin of his face

I feel my body burning my skin feels like it wants to melt

I am screaming though no sound is coming out

Is this what death is like? Or is this a dream? Why can’t I move but my eyes still see?

My limbs can’t move my voice won’t speak but then darkness takes over my head

Will this be my fate slowly dying with evil staring me in the face?

I can no longer think and now this must be the end

With my dying breath this is what I command

With this last wish hear my command wrap these events in a scroll for future men

You are freed now do as you wish but make sure this scroll is not missed

Hide this away with my sword where demon can’t find the sword of Coran

Put a protective barrier around the towns to protect them from the evil ahead

This will last until the end of days no evil may enter my domain

This is my last act as the ruling queen may man escape the horror of this day
