Philosophy Of Life

THE JOURNEY CALLED LIFE

It is too hard to explain, simply,
in life, you ask
what is my philosophy?
To explain my task
Life, is like a journey,
that begins in your past
Moving forward constantly,.
whether it is with emotion
or physically
The journey never ends
Even when you die,
a new one begins

Carry with you
only joy and happiness
Leave behind
anything less
For this journey will not be easy
There will be times
when despair will smother the air you breathe 
It will make you crawl on your hands and knees 
Misery will hold you down 
It will extinguish any light you have found 

But keep your wits about 
In yourself, you have no doubt 
So take heed from me 
For I have little less,
you see,
each day my struggles are endless,
but my cradle is happiness 

In this you must believe, indeed,
by great things I will achieve 
Take a chance and dance with it 
For the time may pass
and you never know how long you will last 

You may think your troubles are great 
But they are not so.
Other’s troubles are far greater then you know 
Listen to the lessons mistakes have taught,
but leave behind the heartaches they have brought 
Learn them well
so in the future,
you can tell  ,
The same mistakes
you will not make,

again. I know it is hard
to take these words to heart 
But they will help you see
that life is what you want it to be 
For you, is there a pre-
determined destiny?

Each choice you make,
leads you down a path to take 
And once that path is took,
do not take another look 
It will only drive you mad 
Thinking about what you could have had 

Do not complain of the rain,
but think of it
as the Earth needing to quench her thirst 
As children, we always seem to laugh,
but we let time take that better half 
For when the sun comes out to shine,
leave your sorrows far behind 
If you choose to take them with,
the warmth of the sun,
you will surely miss 
So in short, I hope to teach 
The goals you set, determine to reach 
For it is you that controls your life 
It is you
That controls your destiny
