In appreciation of
Everything you do for me, for all
The friendship, the sisterhood, the inspiration
In spite of, or maybe because of, all that you have
Swirling about you - your life, your dreams, your spirit, your fire
You are                                                            still a shelter
To my own                                                        small talents
Still a comfort                                                in my own times
Of doubt and                                                          discomfort
Walls against                                            an unfriendly world
And the solid ground on which your friends stand tall in the wind
