Between the Asteroids
I fly my boat between the asteroids In solars where the rocks are still sun-kissed, Begging for a miner's drones and droids And lasers aimed with greedy, steady wrist. The stars don't mind us misfit humanoids; We cruise the region we all call O-mist, Expressions on our faces overjoyed That such a wealth of liberty exists. At times a fleet defensive is deployed To meet invaders with defiant fists, Bust mostly wandering pirate scum avoid This space, or lose their place on bounty lists. I fly my boat with love I can't resist Between the asteroids in stellar tryst.
