A SNOWFLAKE’S WISH
If I were the first snowflake Gliding on frosty wings Of the East-Westerly bound Gentle but icy winds, As I came down from heavens And heard His gentle voice: “I give you the privilege To tell me what’s your choice: Would you like to sit down on A tender blushing cheek, So that from its warm fragrance, Some comfort you may seek? Would you like to alight on A lonely winter rose, So that you may comfort it, As a hardy wind blows? Would you like to mingle with Majestic mountain snow, So that through it, your splendour, To the world you might show?” I would humbly say: “My Lord, Let Thy sweet will be done. I would be contented in Your choice, whichever one.” Written in abcb 7-6-7-6 format Initially written as entry 379263 in the book "FAITH, NATURE & INSPIRATIONAL" M C Gupta 14 October 2005
