Long Ago
Long ago the tangles of his golden hair covered the emptiness of my open hand Long ago the twinkle of his dark blue eyes calmed the fears of my angry soul Long ago the laughter from his tiny mouth turned all the darkness to sunshine Long ago the touch of his small hand took all the doubts from within Long ago he gave me hope, joy and understanding and then like the wind he was gone This poem is about my son being small, then growing up and being on his own.
