                  Raindrops


My lashes are wet and my eyes are red.
My hands shiver and I can’t hold on.
My head is bent and I cannot raise it.

The feet I stand on refuse to step forward,
the feelings I hold inside cannot be voiced.
The fear of the world just overwhelms me.

As the drops of rain begin their descent,
as the sun settles down in the west,
as the trees swirl and dance in the wind.

There are no stars and the world is dark.
There are no sign posts to lead me through.
There is no one around except for hopelessness!

I spread my hands and the raindrops land,
I see how they glitter and shimmer at me,
I know that they carry a message for me.

They whisper into my ears the word from God.
They say He can see the world I live in,
they tell me that He knows I suffer alone.

Have faith that He loves you,
have faith that He will never abandon you,
have faith that He knows the best for you.

Move on for He knows you will make it,
move on for this is a test of your strengths,
move on for dawn always follows the night!
