Kyli's Story: Another Woman Pirate

My name is Kyli. I am a pirate. I am not ashamed. I grew up in a poor Irish family. My father worked for a mean, rich farmer and we barely had enough to eat. My mother left my father, my sister Zaira and me. We managed without her. Father worked so hard and he died when I was seventeen and Zaira was fifteen. I met a pirate Captain Muldana and I fell in love with him. The rich, mean farmer had slapped me when I refused to be his slave and Zaira became a warrior and joined the cause and I left with Captain Muldana. We sailed the seven seas. We robbed from the rich and we felt no guilt. I never killed anyone. I missed my sister and I had always hoped that she was well. She was fighting for a cause and I was a pirate and I felt that the world was a bad place and I deserved some riches and happiness.

I loved sailing the seven seas. I loved sword fighting with other pirates. The rewards were worth it and I had Captain Muldana in my bed at night so I was happy. I hoped Zaira was happy as well. I got to pet a dolphin once. What a sweet animal. Once I was thrown into the water by two mean pirates and a shark almost got me. I used my sword to injure him but the dolphin saved my life. He killed the shark. Muldana was so mad that he almost killed the enemy pirates. Pirates fight other pirates. It is a cruel dog eat dog world out there. Another time our ship was almost taken over by knights. They sailed out in ships to bring in pirates. Muldana and I escaped in a boat that was attached to our pirate ship. We got our ship back with some help of our other pirate friends. We got our friends out of the dungeon. My Captain Muldana had failed to tell me that he was from a rich family and he was an under cover pirate. I WAS FURIOUS! I felt betrayed but I forgave him. His family ran a tea exporting business. He asked me to marry him and I accepted. I was a pirate in the legal sense now. I admit, it took all the fun out of being a pirate. Life was good. I fell in love with his family and they were good to me.

Muldana told me that he had to help get some people out of Ireland. The Roman soldiers were taking over and I feared for Zaira's life. We rescued the people, a young couple. It was my sister Zaira and her lover Fidorian. I was so happy to see her. Zaira was safe and she and Fidorian were married and lived at a house on our estate with Muldana's family. I had two sons and a daughter and had my sister. It was so nice to be reunited again. I still work as an under cover pirate and Zaira has even worked with me. Who knows? Maybe we and our children will have adventures together!
