The "The Writer's Cramp"
I've never written a "found poem" before. To be brutally honest, I've never even heard of a "found poem" before, but I've decided to give it a shot even though I don't have a clue. I chose the following titles: Twenty Wishes All We Ever Wanted Was Everything Predictably Irrational A Ten-Year Nap A Bright Shiny Morning Mother Nurture There are a few others hidden in there, but these are the ones I chose to highlight because the others merely came about as the wording fell into place. Now that the contest is over, I have highlighted the other titles that happened to work themselves into my work: A New Earth Life Beyond Measure Where Are You Now? What Have We Done? We were given Twenty Wishes But All We Ever Wanted Was Everything We wished for A New Earth And Life Beyond Measure to enjoy it When what we needed was A Ten-Year Nap And A Bright Shiny Morning Were we Predictably Irrational to think that it could last? Mother Nurture, Where Are You Now? 8 lines
