The Wind
Rated: E | Poetry | Romance/Love | #1462146
"Wish I may, wish I might have the wish...."
The wind, blowing softly
         upon the night skies
Gently pushes the feathery
            clouds past a moon beam.
Hiding, peeking, the lover
         searches with teary eyes
To find, that one bright star
to wish upon for a dream.

A different, wafting breeze
         caresses the same skies
And slowly, clouds reveal
         the moon and stars.
Another lover, weeping, tries
         to focus weary eyes
And send a wish, to join
         with the other, from afar.
