Goodbye
If you choose no life over any life at all... would you say goodbye? Who would care?

If I died today,
who would understand?
Would anybody cry,
would I be missed in the end?
By my own hand,
or by some other means;
would it matter to them,
would they want to remember me?
Would tomorrow still come,
would the sun still rise,
if I wasn't here to see it
after it sets later tonight?
If I leave this note behind
will it be understood?
Will an explanation be needed
as they laid me in the ground?
I know no one knows me,
no one really understands,
what I'm like
or who I am.
That's never bothered me before,
but now I wish someone was here,
to hold me as I cry
and lend a sympathetic ear.
Is that too much to ask,
for someone to talk to?
You took the time to read this,
so why wasn't it you?
Goodbye
